Wella’s Trendvision is a professional hair care line that is tailored for hair stylists who lead the way in new fashions and styles. In 2013, the brand envisioned their muses as urban natives: a new generation of people who love the city yet are effortlessly natural and at peace with its elements. Wella’s products are the tool they need to create the right kind of look: an immaculately structured disorder, the kind that looks almost unstyled yet is actually groomed and structured to within an inch. We worked together with creative agency SelectNY to convey this in Wella’s 2013 campaign.  The idea called for a location more vibrant and natural than the usual studio setting. In line with the concept behind the shoot, we chose the trendy  Malzfabrik arts centre in Berlin, which unites idyllic greenery, an elegant colour palette and an industrial aspect. With the models sporting edgy cuts, faded neon highlights, and softly tussled waves inside the refurbished factory and on its stunning rooftops, photographer Scott Trindle had the perfect ingredients to create images that embody contemporary cool.
